Andaz Apna Apna 3D animated movie slated to release by summer 2012

MUMBAI: The 3D stereoscopic animated sequel to the 1994 comedy film Andaz Apna Apna, which is being produced by iRock Films, is scheduled to release by the summer of 2012.

The romantic comedy Andaz Apna Apna was directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and starred Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor.

The pre-production work on the film has already begun. Speaking to Businessofcinema.com, iRock Media CEO Siddharth Jain said, “We have already started pre-production work on the film. At the moment our in-house animation director is working on the film and we are also in the process of hiring an outside director. We will release the film by the summer of 2012.”

According to Jain, they will be approaching the stars of the original film for the voice overs. “It’s still too early to say who will be doing the voice overs but yes we are approaching the stars and we’ll have a clearer picture in a couple of months.”

As was reported earlier by Businessofcinema.com, the forthcoming films under the iRock Films' banner are Ragini MMS, which is made in association with Balaji's ALT Entertainment; Shaadi Of The Dead starring Abhay Deol, which will be directed by Navdeep Singh and a film titled Bloody Veer.
